Hillstone Lodge

Hillstone Lodge is nestled in the Limpopo Valley in the luscious Bushveld on South Africa’s border with Botswana, approximately 200 km north of Polokwane and 120 km west of Musina.

Our lodge is only 6 km from the Pontdrif Border Post which makes it the ideal overnight stop for tourists en route to Botswana. Hillstone Lodge borders Botswana’s well-known Northern Tuli Conservation Area, which houses both Mashatu Game Reserve and Tuli Lodge, in the North.
The World Heritage Site, Mapungubwe National Park, is only 30 km to the east. Ratho Crocodile Farm is another nearby place of interest in this area.

Hillstone Lodge is situated on top of an enormous sandstone hill and offers a majestic view of the Limpopo River and neighbouring Botswana. The 7 km river frontage guarantees the ideal vantage point to view elephant and other game.

The thatched roof lodge consists of 8 en-suite, air-conditioned rooms which can accommodate 2 people each. The rooms are serviced daily.

Bush Camp:

The camp is situated under the Njala trees in the riverine bush on the banks
of the Limpopo River. Although campers need to be completely
self-sufficient, there are 2 hot water showers, a toilet as well as an
open-air scullery.

A fully equipped kitchen and scullery open up to the entertainment and dining area. The huge “sleeper” dining table can accommodate big groups which add to the cosy and friendly atmosphere. Adjacent to the comfortable braai area is the beautiful pool and Pool table lounge.

Guests have the option of being fully self sufficient by using the more than adequate facilities provided or making use of the catering service available on request.

The lapa may be utilized for various activities (by prior arrangement), such as enjoying an early morning cup of coffee while watching the bush awake or late afternoon snacks and sundowners , toasting the breathtaking sunsets.
